Information we use

Visiting and searching the site

When you visit, the services that deliver and protect the website may process technical information, such as your IP address, browser information, and the pages requested. The website search matches your words against a copy of the site content in your browser. Search terms appear in the page address and may be stored in your browser history or in hosting logs.

The site currently loads fonts from Google Fonts, which requires your browser to connect to Google. This site is currently hosted using an OpenAI-hosted service. Its logging, retention, and security settings are being reviewed.

Newsletter

Newsletter buttons take you to a separate MailerLite signup page. If you subscribe, Aly and MailerLite process the email address and any other information you choose to provide there to manage your subscription and send book news and promotions.

MailerLite open and click tracking is used to understand how subscribers interact with newsletter emails, including whether an email is opened and which links are clicked. Tracking can involve an image or tracked links. You can unsubscribe using the link in every newsletter, or contact Aly about your data and tracking preferences. Opening and click tracking consent and settings are being reviewed as the site develops.

If you email Aly, the information you send, including your email address and message, is used to read and respond to your enquiry.

Why information is used

Depending on the activity and applicable law, processing may rely on your consent, such as when you choose to subscribe to marketing emails, or on legitimate interests, such as operating and protecting the website and responding to enquiries. Where processing relies on consent, you can withdraw it at any time without affecting processing before withdrawal.

Service providers and other websites

Service providers may process information to deliver website hosting and security, fonts, email, or newsletter services. These include MailerLite and Google Fonts; the current site is hosted using an OpenAI-hosted service. Links to Ream, social networks, retailers, and other websites take you to independent services with their own privacy practices.

Some providers may process information outside the country where you live. The applicable locations and safeguards for international transfers are being reviewed and will be added as the site develops.

Cookies and similar technologies

Cookies and similar technologies used by the final hosting setup and the separate MailerLite signup page are being reviewed. The presence of a link to another service does not by itself mean that its tracking technology is embedded in this website. OpenAI Sites automatically records website traffic, including page views and counts of unique visitors, to provide site analytics. No separate website analytics service is currently planned.

How long information is kept

Information is kept only as long as needed for the purposes described here, including managing subscriptions, answering enquiries, maintaining security, and meeting applicable legal obligations. Aly does not keep unsubscribed newsletter records. Retention periods for other information, including enquiries, and provider log settings are being reviewed as the site develops.

Your choices and rights

Depending on where you live and applicable law, you may ask to access, correct, erase, or restrict use of your personal data; object to processing; request a portable copy; or withdraw consent. You can object to direct marketing at any time. Some rights are subject to conditions or exceptions. Contact aly@alytatum.com to make a request.

You may also complain to a data protection authority, including the authority in the EU or EEA country where you live or work, or where an alleged infringement occurred.

Children

The website is intended for adults. Aly does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 15. If you believe a child has provided personal information, please contact Aly so it can be reviewed.
